Using Dubsend

Do DJs need an account or an app?

No. Each person gets a personal link by email. The page opens in any browser, on a phone or a computer. They can listen, give feedback and download without signing up.

What files can I upload?

WAV files in PCM format, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz, 16 or 24 bit, up to 500 MB per track and up to 20 tracks per promo. Cover art as JPEG or PNG up to 10 MB, from 300 x 300 to 8000 x 8000 pixels. Logos as JPEG or PNG up to 2 MB, from 64 x 64 to 4000 x 4000 pixels.

Dubsend makes a 320 kbps MP3 copy for streaming in your browser while the WAV uploads.

Does Dubsend change my WAV?

No. The audio in each download is exactly what you uploaded. We only add text tags to the file with the recipient's name and email and your brand's name, so you know whose copy it is.

How is listening time measured?

The player on the DJ page counts the seconds of each track that actually play. Skipping ahead doesn't count, and one person's time on a track can't go above three times the track's length.

Why are some opens shown separately?

Some email apps, such as Apple Mail, load every image in an email to protect the reader's privacy. That looks like an open even when nobody read the email. Dubsend lists those opens separately and shows listening time as the main number.

How does feedback work?

You choose for each promo. Required: the DJ gives a rating from 1 to 5, picks a favourite track and writes a short comment before the downloads unlock. Optional: a rating is enough and downloads are open straight away. Off: no feedback form.

Do promos expire?

Not unless you set an end date. You can withdraw a promo at any time, and its links stop working straight away.

Does Dubsend send reminders?

One reminder per person, a few days after the promo (3 by default, you choose), only to people who haven't opened the promo page, downloaded or given feedback. You can turn it off for each promo, and each person can turn off reminders from your brand.

Who do the emails come from?

From "Your brand via Dubsend" at mail.dubsend.com. Replies go to the reply-to address you set for your brand, so they land in your own inbox.

What happens when someone unsubscribes?

They stop getting promos from that brand at once, and that brand can't add them back. The unsubscribe applies to that brand only. Addresses that hard-bounce or report an email as spam are blocked on all of Dubsend.

Can I import my contact list?

Yes, from a CSV file of up to 5 MB and 10,000 rows, and up to 50,000 rows a day. You map the columns and say how you got consent: they asked to receive promos from you, or they are an existing professional contact. People who sign up on your join page are added when they confirm by email.

You can export all your contacts as a CSV file at any time, with their tags, consent record and unsubscribe state.

Bought, rented or scraped lists are not allowed (see the Acceptable Use Policy).

Who owns my contacts?

You do. Dubsend stores them to send your promos and never sells or shares them. Under data protection law you are the controller of your contact list and Dubsend is your processor (see the Data Processing Agreement).

Can I share the results with my artist?

Yes. Make a read-only report link (you can end or revoke it) or download a PDF. Reports never show email addresses, and DJ names only appear if you choose to show them.

Why would my sending pause?

Dubsend pauses your sending when, in one campaign or over your last 14 days, more than 5% of emails hard-bounce (counted once at least 20 emails were sent), or at least 2 people report spam and reports are more than 0.1% of emails sent. This protects your sender reputation and everyone else's.

The app tells you why and what to fix, and you can resume yourself. After 3 pauses in 30 days, only our support can resume sending.

Is there a daily sending limit?

Yes. A new account can send 200 emails a day on the Free plan and 500 on a paid plan. While your emails are delivered without problems, the limit grows to twice your busiest day of the last 7 days, up to 20,000 a day. Emails over the day's limit wait and go out the next day (UTC).

If many emails bounce or are reported as spam, the limit goes back to the starting value. This keeps new senders from harming delivery for everyone.

How do I get help?

Email support@dubsend.com. We answer within two working days.

Plans and payment

What counts as a recipient?

One person emailed by your account in a calendar month. They count once that month, however many promos and reminders they get. The count starts again on the 1st of each month (UTC).

What happens when I reach my monthly limit?

The send pauses before the first person who would go over the limit. The campaign page shows how many were sent and how many are waiting. You can upgrade and resume straight away, or resume next month. Nobody is skipped without you knowing.

What does "1 promo every 30 days" mean on the Free plan?

You can send one promo, then the next one 30 days after the first went out. The first promo keeps working for DJs after the 30 days. If you withdraw a promo or its end date passes, it stops counting earlier.

The Free plan also has 100 recipients a month and Dubsend branding on the DJ page and email. It needs no card.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. The price on this page is the price you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. The seller (merchant of record) is Link, part of Stripe, which charges VAT or sales tax where it applies and pays it to the tax authorities. Checkout may show the price in your local currency.

How do I pay, and who sends receipts?

By card on Stripe's checkout page. Receipts and invoices come from Link (Stripe) by email, and your bank statement shows LINK.COM* DUBSEND.COM. You can download invoices from Manage billing on the Plan page.

Can I change plans?

Yes, from the Plan page in the app. An upgrade starts straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. A downgrade, or a move from yearly to monthly, starts at the end of the period you paid for.

How do I cancel?

On the Plan page, open Manage billing and cancel. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free. Nothing is deleted: contacts, promos, stats and DJ links stay.

Can I get a refund?

Write to support@dubsend.com and tell us what happened. Refunds are paid by Link (Stripe), the seller, under its refund terms.

What happens if a payment fails?

Stripe tries again several times over about two weeks and emails you each time. Your plan stays while it retries, and the Plan page asks you to update your card. If every try fails, the account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted; promos over the Free limits pause until you upgrade again.

What happens to extra brands if I move down from Pro?

All of them stay, with their contacts, promos, stats and DJ links. One brand stays on your plan: the oldest one, unless you pick another on the Plan page. The others can't send new promos until you upgrade again or switch which brand is on your plan.

Is there a free trial?

Use the Free plan for as long as you like, with no card. Upgrade when you need more promos, more recipients or your own branding.
