How to move your promo list from Inflyte to Dubsend
Moving to Dubsend means taking your contact list with you. This guide shows where Inflyte's export is, what Dubsend does with each column, and how unsubscribes and unanswered invitations are handled.

Dubsend publishes this page. Facts about Inflyte come from Inflyte's help pages and FAQ, listed under Sources with the day we checked them. Inflyte can change its menus, so check its help pages if a step looks different.
What moves and what stays
- Your contacts move: email, name and the details you keep for each person, through a CSV file.
- Your past promos, stats and feedback stay in Inflyte. Download any reports you want to keep before your Inflyte plan ends.
- Your DJs don't need a new account. Dubsend promos open from a personal link in the email, in any browser.
Export your contacts from Inflyte
- Sign in to Inflyte and open the label the contacts are in.
- Click Invited.
- Choose Tools, then Export. Inflyte downloads a CSV file of that label's contacts.
- If you run more than one label on Inflyte, repeat this for each label. On Dubsend Pro each label can be its own brand with its own list (up to 5 brands); the other plans have one brand.
Inflyte's help describes this export in its article on moving contacts between labels. It doesn't list the columns of the file, so open it in a spreadsheet app first and look at what's there.
What Dubsend does with each column
In Inflyte each contact has an email address, a name and an affiliation, a report category (DJs, Radio, Press, Online or one you made), tags instead of lists, and a VIP box. When you import the file, Dubsend recognises it as an Inflyte file from its name or its columns and suggests a match for each column. You can change every match before anything is saved.
| In your Inflyte file | In Dubsend |
|---|---|
| Email (the only column you must match) | |
| Name | Name |
| Report category | Role: DJs becomes DJ, Radio becomes Radio, Press and Online become Press. A category Dubsend doesn't know becomes Other. |
| Tags | Tags. A second column such as groups can be matched as more tags. |
| VIP | VIP |
| Affiliation | Notes, when the file has no notes column |
| Country and genres, if your file has them | Country and genres |
You can also tag every contact in the file "From Inflyte", so you can find them later. Up to 10,000 rows per file.
Unsubscribes and unanswered invitations
When someone unsubscribes through the link in an Inflyte email, Inflyte closes their promo account. Inflyte's help doesn't say whether the export lists those people or how it marks them.
If your file has a status column, match it to Unsubscribed or status. Dubsend then reads each row:
- Unsubscribed, declined, bounced or blocked: the address goes on your brand's unsubscribe list. It is never imported as an active contact, and a later import can't add it back.
- Invited and never accepted: left out by default. You can include them, but only do that if you have another reason to email them.
- Anything else: imported as normal.
If you keep your own list of people who asked to be removed, add a column called Status with the word Unsubscribed next to their addresses before you import.
Recording consent
Inflyte lists are opt-in: each contact accepted an invitation before getting promos. For those people choose "They asked to receive promos" when you import. Dubsend saves that reason with the date and the file name for every new contact.
For people you are not sure about, choose "I don't have their permission yet: invite them". Dubsend sends them an invitation with your label's card, at most 2 reminders, and no promos unless they accept. This is general information and isn't legal advice.
Send your first promo
- Set up your brand kit: logo, colours, fonts and layout for the email and the promo page.
- Create a promo, add the tracks and artwork, and pick who gets it by tag, role, genre, country or VIP.
- Send a test to yourself, then send it. Stats show listening time per track, downloads and feedback for each person.

Questions
Do my DJs need to sign up to Dubsend?
No. Each person gets a personal link by email and opens the promo in any browser. DJs who want all their Dubsend promos in one place can use the free promo inbox.
Can I bring my Inflyte stats and feedback?
No. Only contacts move, through a CSV file. Keep any Inflyte reports you need before your plan ends.
Will people who unsubscribed on Inflyte get my promos?
Not if your file marks them. A status column that says unsubscribed, declined, bounced or blocked puts the address on your unsubscribe list instead of importing it.
I run several labels on Inflyte. What do I do?
Export each label's contacts separately. On Dubsend Pro you can import each file into its own brand, up to 5 brands. On the other plans, import them into your one brand and use a tag per label.
